  1. Overall aim of the interest group

The group will focus on health law issues related to gender identity, sexual orientation and sexuality in general and identify the state of the art in national and supranational legal systems.

    • removal of sterilisation requirement for gender reassignment
    • legal implications of Gender Identity Disorder reform
    • transgender parenting
    • medically assisted procreation in gay and lesbian singles and couples – European and global perspectives
    • freedom of movement, reproductive rights and LGBT families
    • impact on contemporary family institutions
    • HIV/AIDS

  • sharing of experience and information
  • discussion via a web-board and online meetings
  • monitoring of European (EU and ECHR) legislation and case-law
  • development of autonomously or externally funded researches
  • participation in public discussions
